IF: Dip

This week's theme word for Illustration Friday is "Dip" and this is my entry.

The little mermaid spent all winter in her castle beneath the ocean. It was such a beautiful warm day she decided to go for a dip in her favorite spot with some of her friends.

I used the fish from another design. I had a hard time with this one. All I could think of was food---my family's favorite french onion dip to be exact.

McDonald's Mocha Frappe

YUM YUM!!!! Our new addiction---Mocha Frappes from McDonald's. Right now our local McDonald's has a Buy-One-Get-One-Free from 2-5pm.

My teenage son and I have been regularly indulging our addiction. We might need to start taking loooooonnggg walks now too LOL. Bonding with your teenage son can be sweet, decadent and totally fun for a mere six bucks. I say it's well worth it.

Brain Farts are a fact of life

OMG! I figured out why my text suddenly got BIG! Apparently I had my own Brain Fart because when I put BIG Sigh in < > blogger thought it was being told to enlarged my text. It's amazing the clarity that CHOCOLATE provides..ahahahaha.

IF Rescue

This little guy thought he was escaping but I think he now needs to be rescued. This is my entry for Illustration Friday's word, "Rescue."

Yesterday my favorite mouse (she wipes a tear from her eye) bit the dust and I'm breaking in a new one...Waaa Waaa Waaa I think I need a lot of cheese to go with my "WHINE." I hate breaking in new equipment--the feel is so much different! BIG Sigh!

And for no apparent reason most of my text on this blog just enlarged itself--revolt of technology! I'll have to check it later HUGE Sigh! I need chocolate and I need it NOW dang it!!! LOL

Springtime

Spring is 9 days away---WOOOHOOO!!! And these bunnies look excited about it. Springtime means Spring Cleaning. And not just the house, but blogs, and stores etcetera. I guess no one told the bunnies about all that cleaning ahead of them. LOL

I'm trying to get organized electronically and it's a challenge. Who wants to spend 85 percent of their time working the organization part. So, I’m in search of an easier more efficient way of dealing with all our sites for updates, search engines and the rest while still finding time to design and doodle.

So... HELP! What techniques do you use?

Ever Had One of These?

Okay, I might be in a wierd mood..LOL Check over at our store tomorrow to see this design on tee shirts and other goodies.

Teenage boys off school: the horror, the horror!!

OMG!!! The kids have been to school 1 day in the last two weeks because the school closed due to snow. Trying to keep teenage boys full isn't easy. Trying to explain that you can't put brownies in the oven at the same time you're cooking homemade pizza seems to be beyond they're comprehension. The only time the oven gets a chance to cool down is when they're asleep and that hasn't been till 1 a.m. because they're playing on their PS3 or Xbox 360. And at the sleepovers they take food, (usually pizza) with them.

I could understand the need for so much food if they were actually expending energy but how much energy do you need to work your thumbs?

In my frustration I threw together "Pizza Boy." He's a quick n dirty and I used pieces from other designs, but he gets the message across. I'm not so sure getting a breadmaker for Xmas was such a good idea. Expectations have been raised and I'm exhausted...LOL

I know, I know! Valentines Day is over, but MY honey was working 1,000's of miles away so we're going to celebrate when he gets home on Friday. Woo hoo! Valentines Day wasn't a total bust because my son gave me a handmade card....it was sooooo sweet.

This week's Illustration Friday's word is "Muddy." And since I'm a chocoholic, all I could think about was a Chocolate Fudge Mudslide Ice Cream Sundae with hot fudge sauce,whipped cream and nuts...Mmmmmmm LOL

I'm so swamped lately that this entry for Illustration Friday's word of the week "focus" is another quick and dirty. :( Hopefully next week things will have calmed down a bit.

Aaargh.....pizza again

This is one of four personal pizzas my son had me make for him and his friends. Apparently the guys really like them...ahahaha They're teenage boys so they're never full.

One of the gifts my husband bought me for Christmas was a breadmaker so I could make the bread dough faster for pizzas, pretzels, etc ahahaha. At first I thought it was such a time saver but with teen boys my poor machine might not last 6 months LOL

IF: Clumsy

This little guy I did sometime ago for a comic strip. He's a quick-n-dirty but I thought it fit with this week's Illustration Friday word, "clumsy."

IF Wilderness

It's good to be back and hopefully on track. Life sometimes has a way of bombarding you, but as they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

When I was younger I used to grab a book and trek through the forest at the back of my parent's cottage. I'd sit and read for hours. Just being there was very soothing to the soul.
