IF: Dip

This week's theme word for Illustration Friday is "Dip" and this is my entry.

The little mermaid spent all winter in her castle beneath the ocean. It was such a beautiful warm day she decided to go for a dip in her favorite spot with some of her friends.

I used the fish from another design. I had a hard time with this one. All I could think of was food---my family's favorite french onion dip to be exact.

IF Rescue

This little guy thought he was escaping but I think he now needs to be rescued. This is my entry for Illustration Friday's word, "Rescue."

Yesterday my favorite mouse (she wipes a tear from her eye) bit the dust and I'm breaking in a new one...Waaa Waaa Waaa I think I need a lot of cheese to go with my "WHINE." I hate breaking in new equipment--the feel is so much different! BIG Sigh!

And for no apparent reason most of my text on this blog just enlarged itself--revolt of technology! I'll have to check it later HUGE Sigh! I need chocolate and I need it NOW dang it!!! LOL

Shoes with Texture

I had a bit of time to play with this, so I added some texture to the shoe fabric. Hmmm..whadoyathink?

IF Expire

This week's word for Illustration Friday is "Expire" and this is my entry. As you can see my son's odor eaters in his sneakers are way past the Expire date!

IF: Propagate

This is my entry for Illustration Friday's word, "Propagate." One of these crows finds something VERY amusing. Is it that he thinks just the three of them will get to eat the entire field of corn or is he busting a gut because the other two thought so....Hmmmm

Things are so busy I had to use pieces from different designs again...wa wa wa. LOL

IF: Adrift

Illustration Friday's word this week is "Adrift" and this is my entry. I think these three have had too much moonshine to know they are adrift and further out from their pond than they realize.

IF: Muddy

This week's Illustration Friday's word is "Muddy." And since I'm a chocoholic, all I could think about was a Chocolate Fudge Mudslide Ice Cream Sundae with hot fudge sauce,whipped cream and nuts...Mmmmmmm LOL

IF Focus

This vintage TV needs focus. Guess we should get a 52" flat screen high def...oh yeah.

I'm so swamped lately that this entry for Illustration Friday's word of the week "focus" is another quick and dirty. :( Hopefully next week things will have calmed down a bit.

IF: Clumsy

This little guy I did sometime ago for a comic strip. He's a quick-n-dirty but I thought it fit with this week's Illustration Friday word, "clumsy."

IF Wilderness

It's good to be back and hopefully on track. Life sometimes has a way of bombarding you, but as they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

When I was younger I used to grab a book and trek through the forest at the back of my parent's cottage. I'd sit and read for hours. Just being there was very soothing to the soul.

So...you caught a germ? Where are his buddies? Germs usually travel in large groups of other nasties. LOL This is my entry for Illustration Friday's theme "germs."

I'm thinking Cody the Cootie would be good on a Get Well card and on a T-shirt.

IF: Pattern

I did a different version of this for a greeting card but thought this would work for Illustration Friday's theme "pattern."
Originally I wanted to create a Zentangle but I'm nowhere near finished. So many projects too little time (sigh). I've also been playing around with digital patterns and textures lately to give the designs depth and to add a bit of fun to them. I think I'd like to do more of this type.

Illustration Friday: Welcome

We have 3 spoiled and lazy indoor cats. If they wanted to catch a mouse, I believe this would be how they'd do it. Of course we'd have to make the sign and place the plants. LOL

Illustration Friday: Magnify

Oliver has pressed his little face up against the fish bowl to get a good look at Goldie and now it's magnified.

Pressed for time I combined Oliver's head and Goldie the fish from two other designs to make this one.
